Munich-based chemist Jürgen Neuhauser has developed a novel gel formula that clings to tiles, grout and silicone, penetrates deep into the surface and attacks mould right at its core. No scrubbing, no harsh fumes – simply apply, leave to work and wipe away. The surface stays clean and mould is far less likely to return.
Advertorial: Manuela Küppers | published 3 days ago
Think your home is mould-free? The truth is often very different.
A quick wipe, a bit of spray, a brief airing – and the stain looks lighter. Job done, right?
Experts warn: what you can see is only a fraction of the real problem.
The actual issue lurks where you can't see it – and where ordinary cleaners don't reach:
Deep inside the grout. Beneath silicone seals. In hairline cracks in the plaster. That's exactly where an invisible web of fungal threads and mould spores forms, breaking through again and again – even when the surface looks spotless.
This hidden mould is the real health risk – and conventional sprays simply can't reach it.
Problem #1: Mould sprays bleach the stain – instead of actually removing it
Most products work like make-up:
The stain is lightened on the surface, but the fungal threads in the grout, silicone and plaster remain active. A few weeks later the mould is back – often worse than before.
Problem #2: Wiping spreads spores throughout your home
Simply wiping mould away breaks open the surface.
The spores are thrown into the air as a fine film, settle on other cold spots – and the mould "migrates" from the bathroom, kitchen or cellar into other rooms.
Problem #3: That telltale musty smell doesn't come from the stain – it comes from what's living underneath
That damp, musty odour isn't caused by a bit of dirt – it's produced by active mould colonies beneath the surface.
Air fresheners only mask it briefly – the cause remains.
Problem #4: Harsh chemicals often make surfaces more vulnerable
Strong, chlorine-based cleaners can damage grout and silicone, making them porous and even more absorbent for moisture and mould spores. Instead of improving things, they create a better breeding ground.
Problem #5: You're breathing in those spores – every single day
Invisible mould spores travel through the air into your respiratory system, embed themselves in fabrics, carpets and curtains, and continuously compromise the air quality in your home.
Most at risk: children, the elderly, allergy sufferers and anyone with sensitive airways.
Recurring coughs, irritated mucous membranes, headaches, fatigue – many sufferers put it down to stress or the weather, never thinking about that "slightly grey patch" in the bedroom or the dark grout in the shower.
Standard mould sprays:
run straight off the wall,
only act on the surface for seconds,
don't penetrate beneath the surface.
The result: you spray, wipe, spray again – and the mould comes back.
This is exactly where a new gel formula comes in – one that clings, penetrates deep and tackles mould where it truly lives: at its core.
Jürgen Neuhauser and his wife Petra Neuhauser. They were the first household to test NuroClean.
The Munich-based chemist discovered these hidden problems when his wife ended up at the doctor's with irritated airways and headaches after a major "anti-mould cleaning day" in the bathroom.
"In that moment it hit me: the problem isn't that people don't clean enough. The problem is that they're cleaning with the wrong products – and only ever wiping the mould away on the surface," says Neuhauser.
So he began researching. Not for a "stronger" spray. But for a smarter approach.
His solution: A gel that clings to tiles, grout and silicone, penetrates deep beneath the surface, attacks mould at its core and neutralises odours at the source – without frantic scrubbing, without chlorine fumes filling the room.
The result: NuroClean.
Below, you'll discover how this novel gel formula works, why even mould experts are surprised by its mode of action – and why thousands of people across the country are now saying: "I didn't realise how bad the mould really was until I used NuroClean."
The secret lies in the active deep-gel technology :
The gel clings to vertical surfaces, grout lines and silicone edges instead of simply running off – specialists call this a thixotropic, or self-supporting, gel structure.
Embedded within this gel matrix are specially formulated active ingredients that target mould fungi and their spores. Mould spreads via thread-like hyphae that burrow several millimetres deep into porous materials – and that's precisely where the gel can reach through diffusion.
Thanks to the significantly longer contact time, the gel can dissolve the affected surface layer by layer , loosen discolouration and simultaneously neutralise the source of the odour beneath the surface.
User reports and internal laboratory tests show that
the majority of visible mould can be completely removed in a single application
– even in spots where sprays had repeatedly failed before.
The crucial difference compared to ordinary sprays:
Liquid cleaners often only work for a few seconds on the surface before running off. The gel, on the other hand,
stays active for 10–20 minutes
while you get on with something else. Instead of scrubbing away frantically, you let the chemistry do the work – and at the end, you simply wipe away what the gel has already loosened deep within the material. For many, it feels like an entirely new approach:
no more "cosmetic clean" – instead, a product that tackles mould right where it starts –
NuroClean mould gel is designed so that anyone can be used – without hours of scrubbing and without feeling like you're standing in a cloud of chemicals. Simply apply the gel, leave it to work, wipe it off – the drip-free gel formula does the rest on its own.
Areas of use:
✅ Shower & bathtub edges
✅ Tiles & grout
✅ Silicone in bathroom & kitchen
✅ Window frames & reveals
✅ Cellar walls and other damp problem areas
A clear no – NuroClean was specifically developed for use in homes.
The gel formula is designed to tackle mould aggressively , whilst remaining safe to use on most household surfaces. Unlike many extreme cleaners based on acid or chlorine, it's intended for normal domestic use – without stinging eyes and without an acrid smell filling the entire bathroom.
Like modern household cleaners, NuroClean uses a targeted combination of active ingredients that removes mould at the root without producing aggressive fumes. When used correctly, there are no caustic vapours, no lingering odour for hours, and no permanent residue left on surfaces.
By comparison: Conventional mould removers often use highly concentrated acid or heavily chlorinated formulations – products that make you want to fling the window open and leave the room immediately. NuroClean was designed to remain practical in everyday use: apply, ventilate, leave to work, wipe off.
The result:
No hours of scrubbing
No aggressive fumes like those from many "drain cleaner-style formulas"
Visibly cleaner, brighter surfaces – with considerably less effort than before.
"I'm 67 years old and have been battling mould in the shower for years. Constantly getting down on my knees, scrubbing, chemical fumes – I could barely cope any longer. A neighbour told me about this gel from a Munich-based chemist, and I thought: one last try. I applied the gel to the grout and the black patches on the silicone and waited. When I checked after half an hour, I was genuinely shocked: the stains had almost completely disappeared, without any scrubbing at all. My knees are spared – and my bathroom finally looks bright and clean again."
– Margarete S. from Hamburg
"I really do clean regularly – especially in the bathroom. Yet grey and black shadows kept coming through in the shower grout. Ordinary spray made them a bit lighter briefly, but never properly got rid of them. When I first used the gel and it stuck to the wall, I thought: let's see what happens. After the contact time, I could simply wipe the loosened residue off with a cloth. The tiles and grout looked like new, and that musty smell I'd already accepted as 'normal' was gone. Now I know: before, it was only clean on the surface."
– Thomas K. from Munich
"My children just smiled when I turned up with the 'gel from the internet'. 'Dad and his miracle products,' they said. But when they saw how the gel clings to the tiles, slowly penetrates and dissolves the dark patches step by step, they suddenly went very quiet. Now they ask for the 'mould gel' themselves when they're supposed to clean their bathroom. The best part: no harsh chlorine smell, no more hours of scrubbing. Apply the gel, leave it to work, wipe it off – done. I always keep a tube in reserve now because I never want to go back to the old sprays. Best of all, the mould hasn't come back either."
– Michael R. from Berlin
No – it could hardly be simpler.
NuroClean mould gel doesn't require complicated instructions or specialist equipment. Simply briefly dry or roughly wipe the affected area , apply the gel directly onto the discoloured grout, silicone edges or mould stains , leave it to work for 20–30 minutes – then wipe off with a cloth or rinse away . Done.
No hours of scrubbing. No strain on knees or back. No battling with brushes and scouring pads.
The gel clings to the surface, works its way deep down on its own and breaks down the mould while you get on with something completely different – have a coffee, hang up the washing, put your feet up. Even people with limited mobility, back problems or joint pain can get their bathroom, shower or window reveals clean again.
Removing mould at home has never been this easy.
Only available from the official NuroClean shop
NuroClean™ can only be ordered directly from the manufacturer via the official web shop . It is not sold via Amazon, DIY stores, chemists or any other platforms.
Important: Products are already appearing that look visually similar , but do not use Jürgen Neuhauser's special deep-action gel technology – simple sprays or gels without long-lasting adhesion and deep penetration. These products may look "powerful", but they run off quickly and leave the mould untouched at its core.
That's why you should only trust the original gel direct from the manufacturer – developed in Germany – and order NuroClean™ exclusively from the official shop .
Why isn't it sold in retail stores?
Jürgen Neuhauser explains:
"I could have started selling NuroClean through DIY stores or high-street chemists long ago. But then we'd have to raise the price significantly – to cover middlemen, warehousing and shelf space. I want
anyone
effective mould removal to be affordable for everyone, not just people with deep pockets. That's why we sell direct."
UPDATE: The company is currently running a special sale. You'll receive 75% off if you buy today – only from the official website. Time is running out and the special sale is coming to an end. Don't miss your chance to improve your life at an unbeatable price!
"Demand for NuroClean is exceptionally high at the moment," explains developer Jürgen Neuhauser . "Our production takes place in Germany under strict quality controls – every batch is tested in the laboratory before it is dispatched. The active ingredients in the gel must be precisely balanced , otherwise it cannot achieve the necessary deep-penetrating effect. For us, effectiveness clearly comes before volume . That's why NuroClean is temporarily out of stock from time to time – it's already happened several times this year alone. If the product is briefly unavailable in the shop, we ask for your understanding – it is usually back in stock within three to four weeks."

· 14Isn't this just another mould spray? I've tried so many and none of them really worked… The mould always came back.
That's the difference! It's a GEL, not a spray. The gel sticks in place and penetrates deep into the grouting — right to the root. With sprays, everything just runs off and only works on the surface. The mould in my silicone sealant has been completely gone for 4 months!
Doesn't it absolutely reek of chlorine? I used a mould remover the other day and could barely breathe, had to throw open all the windows 😅
I was sceptical about the smell too. But NuroClean hardly smells at all — nothing compared to those chlorine bombs from the DIY shop. I used it with the window tilted open and it was absolutely fine. My wife has asthma and even she had no problems.
Does it work on walls too? My mould is in the ceiling corner of my bathroom — wouldn't everything just run down?
That's exactly why it's a gel! It sticks in place and doesn't run down. I used it on my bathroom ceiling — holds rock solid. Just apply, wait 30 mins and wipe off. Done!
Why isn't this available on Amazon or in shops? It seems a bit dodgy to me if you can only order directly...
Great question! We sell directly to keep the price low and to make sure you always receive the genuine product. Unfortunately, there are lots of counterfeits on Amazon. This way, we can also be there directly for our customers.
I've had black mould in the tile grouting in my bathroom for years. It's really deeply ingrained. Does the gel work on mould that old as well?
I'm 67 and had mould on my window seals for over 15 years. I'd already resigned myself to it. After one application, everything was sparkling white! For very old stains, just apply twice. Genuinely impressed.
Do you have to scrub a lot? I've got back problems and can't spend hours crawling around on my knees...
Not at all! That's the brilliant thing about it. Apply the gel, leave it for 20–30 mins, then just wipe off with a damp cloth. Zero scrubbing! I've got knee problems too and it was dead easy.
We've got small children — is the product safe? And how long do you need to stay out of the bathroom afterwards?
I've got 2 small children too! I did the application while they were at Grandma's. After 1 hour of airing out, everything was back to normal. The gel smells much less than the sprays — and the mould itself is far more dangerous for children!
Isn't that expensive? At DM you can get mould remover for €3...
That's exactly what I thought, and I must have tried 20 different products from the DIY store. Easily spent €100 altogether — and the mould kept coming back. NuroClean went on once and it's been clear for 5 months now. Much cheaper in the end!
I'm renting and I'm worried the landlord will say the mould is my fault. Can I do this myself or do I need to get a professional in?
Had the same problem! With NuroClean I was able to remove the mould in the bathroom myself without the landlord finding out. No tradesman's bill, no hassle. For larger areas, though, I'd let the landlord know.
Have to share my verdict here: Had black mould in the silicone sealant ever since we moved in (8 years!). After 30 minutes' contact time and a single wipe — ALL GONE! The sealant looks brand new. Wish I'd found this sooner! 👍
